１７．失礼なこと

つい、外国人のルックスについて何か言いたくなりがち。
会話には慎みが必要です。

　 Matt :

Yeah. But you don't want to, I don't know. I've had Japanese people will talk about people's appearances.

そう、でもね。人の外観について話す日本人がいたよ。

　 Matt :
Maybe they only speak this way to the foreigners.

多分、外国人だけに言うのだと思うけど。　

Matt :

But I've had Japanese people just meet, and say things like
"Oh, wow.", you know, rude comments, comments that they
don't mean to be rude.

でも、出会ったばかりの日本人がね、「うわ～」って、失礼なことを言うんだ。本人たちは失礼なことを言っているつもりではないけど。

	Matt :	But just like, uh, "Oh, well, yeah. Western girls're, you know, kind of bigger. They're fatter than, than Japanese girls are. " 例えば、「西洋の女性はでかいよ。日本人女性よりも太っている」とか。


	Matt :	"They have really big breasts", which is might sound like compliment, but it's not. 「彼女たちの胸は本当にでかい」、それは褒めているつもりかも知れないけど、そうじゃない。


	Matt :	Women don't want to hear about their breasts. 女性は自分の胸のことを言われたくないものだ。
